Mission and Vision

The Ministry of Humanitarian affairs and poverty alleviation has a possible vision and mission statements;

Vision Statement;

“ To be a leading Ministry I providing humanitarian assistance, promoting social protection and empowering vulnerable population to overcome poverty and achieve sustainable livelihoods, thereby contributing to a more resilient Kano State”.

Mission Statement;

“To provide timely and effective humanitarian assistance, promote social protection programs and implement sustainable poverty alleviation initiatives that improve the lives of vulnerable populations, while fostering partnerships and collaboration with stakeholders to achieve inclusive and sustainable development of Kano State.

Core Values;

Goals

  1. Reduce poverty rate by 20% within 5 years,
  2. Increase access to humanitarian assistance for 80% of affected populations,
  3. Strengthen social protection programmes for 500,000 vulnerable individuals,
  4. Implement disaster risk reduction measures in 50% of high-risk communities,
  5. Establish partnership with 10 international organizations’.
